Here I am doing a scene from Die Fledermaus at the Santa Fe Opera.  I was playing Dr. Blind.   This was during the summer of 1978,  I was an apprentice artist  and this scene was a part of the apprentice recital.  scenes directed and performed by the younger artists.

This is a photo from a performance of  Eugene Onegin with Opera Memphis. I am playing Monseur Triquet the french tutor.   Patricia Wells played Tatyana, James Atherton played Lyensky and Jerome Hines played Prince Gremin.    It was a great production.   I was doing Dr. Selevy's Magic Theater off Broadway while we were in rehearsals so I was flying back and forth between Memphis and New York.

This is from the Glimmerglas Opera production of Madame Butterfly.    I played Goro the marriage broker.   Patrick Bakeman was the director and insisted that I wear a bowler hat.  I enjoyed working in Cooperstown,  the people I stayed with had a sailboat so I could spend time on the lake. I had a great time with a lighting designer named Julie.
